How come my main computer where i hook up my dsl doesn't work but my notebook works?
i have a wireless router hooked up to my desktop pc. this past week it stopped working it keeps giving me the message like phone line busy 676 or something. But then my notebook computers work because of the wireless. why does the main computer not work? what did i do? i deleted some stuff. but i don't think it was important.

Why you MUST research a computer notebook before you buy one!
Firstly, congratulations on taking the first step in looking for a computer notebook. That being said, there is a lot of important information needed in order for you to have the perfect notebook. Even though there are so many brands out there, it is important to narrow down your needs in a notebook computer.
1. Make sure that it is a notebook computer that you are looking for and not a desktop computer or laptop computer. the main difference is that the desktop computer is larger and not made for carrying around from place to place, where the laptop or notebook is. Yet the laptop has a larger screen, graphics card, and CD capabilities, where noteboooks usually don't.
2. Now that you know that you definitely want a notebook computer, you must figure out what the computer will be used for. If you are intending to use it for projects or homework assignments, you will need a longer battery life and lighter weight (since you will be carrying it everywhere). If you want it more for home use, like working in different rooms, then weight and portability are not as much a problem. Neither would battery life since you could plug it in most of the time. But you would be concerned with it’s processing capability and it’s speed.
3. Now that you know how much carrying you will be doing you can decide on the specifications. Memory, processor, RAM, Optical drive, data ports, and graphics are all important specifications that you must research in a computer. This is where most people become confused and lost. there are simply so many different factors to consider that it becomes a challenge to keep up. Do not fear.
