will any tablet pc pen work with a any tablet pc?
i have a Fujitsu Siemens stylistic st5011 tablet pc but i need a pen and i cant find a pen for that exact type. but will any pen work with it?
No, there are different pens needed depending on the screen technology used. Unlike what most people think, most true TabletPC's do NOT use touch-screens.
With a touch-Screen tablet any stick will do, so long as it doesn't scratch the screen...
Some TabletPC's come with a Finepoint technology active digitizer. The pens for these screen required batteries. Old HP TC1000's and Gateway's use this, along with a few other older devices.
Most TabletPC's use Wacom technology screens and any Wacom pen will work with them. These have no batteries, just circuitry within the pen which disrupts the electromagnetic field produced by the screen itself.
But if you want a pen that fits into the TPC's silo your best bet is to see if they're available from the manufacturer.
