Connecting hp laptop to Panasonic HDTV?
I would like to connect my hp dv2910us laptop to my Panasonic VIERA TC-L32X1. I looked online and I could only find info on separate s-video cables and audio cables. Is there any cable that can connect both the audio and video components from my laptop to the TV and could someone show me what it looks like?
Note: My laptop does not have hdmi or vga ports.
I am assuming your laptop has USB ports available - what you want is a USB to HDMI adapter (I'm also making the assumption that your TV has an HDMI input available).
This will take your USB signal and convert it to HDMI. You have 2 options available - 1 will handle the audio through the USB port, so all you need to do is plug one end of the adapter in to your computer and the other end in to your TV.
The other option (Atlona's HD-PIX) handles the audio through a separate audio cable going from your computer to your TV, so you will need to connect 2 cables from your computer to your adapter (but still only one cable from the adapter to your TV).
I hope this helps - the drawback is that it's expensive ($130), but will let you project your computer screen to full HD on your TV.
