Bought an Acer computer (pawn shop) for around $350. I got the LCD monitor, tower, keyboard, and mouse.?
I have ask several people and some say good deal and others say not. The specifics are: 925 Intel pentium D, 1 GB memory, 250 GB hard drive, DVD dual, Windows vista premium. I just got it up and running tonight and seems to be doing fine right now. Was it a good idea to buy this one or not?

That wasn't a deal $ but this is a great computer, depending on who used it and how it was used. But if I was you, I would have bought a complete new system for about 499$ at Dell or something.
The quest for space is a constant factor in a network engineer's life. And we are not talking about the gigabyte kind. As more and more servers, cables and monitors are stuffed into the system, the space crunch becomes evident. The popularity and availability of LCD flat panel monitors have certainly helped in saving some space, but even so, network engineers find themselves running short of storage space. And that is where rackmount monitor drawers come in handy. They are essentially flat panel monitors that will collapse into a single standardized 1 rack unit (RU) high rack space when it is not being used. These rackmount monitor drawers save precious rack space by allowing you to slide the monitor into any standard 19 or 23 inch rack.
A rackmount monitor drawer gives the network engineer complete control by letting him use the monitor whenever needed, at other times it can be slid into the rack for convenience. These even have a locking facility for security reasons or if you want to safely carry them around. Add a keyboard to the drawer and you have a complete system solution that fits into a fraction of the space usually required for computers. There are drawers available that can fit in a monitor, a keyboard and a pointing device; however, these usually require 2RU of rack space. Of course, every computer in the rack does not need its own separate monitor and keyboard. A Keyboard, Video and Mouse (KVM) switch allows you to control multiple computers through a single input device and a screen. Nor is connecting the device a problem; all connections can be accessed from the rear of the rack easily and without any major obstructions.
The monitors that come in rackmount monitor drawers are usually high resolution screens that are rugged enough to be used for industrial and even military purposes. For those situations where space is at a premium even more than usual, the monitors can even be touchscreen, completely eliminating the need for another input device.
