I'm planning on buying a refurbished macbook pro--is this a good idea?
This will be my first Mac computer, and I'm trying to get one for cheaper. I've heard buying them refurbished gets you a good computer for cheaper, and is generally a good idea, but I'm sort of skeptical about buying something that was defective at one point... But if I get a used one, I'd be getting it straight from the Apple Online store, and I heard that they do quality refurbishments or whatever....eye dee kay, what do you think?
Anyway, the one I'm looking at is a 15" model, here are the specs:

I'm not sure if that means anything or not. But apparently it's saving me $100 dollars. So...refurbished...good idea, or not?
The macbook I'm typing this on right now was refurbished. Go for it, it's a great money-saver. I believer somewhere on the site it mentions exactly how intense their testing and refurbishing processes are. It's pretty much a brand-new comp at a lower price. And it comes with a warranty (the length of which can be determined by how much you want to pay extra, of course).
