looking to buy a refurbished or off-lease laptop?
Hi. i'm looking to buy a really cheap, therefore probably refurbished or Dell off-lease laptop. my question is, since off-lease laptops are usually 2-3 years old, would they last much longer?? probably not. so i guess off-lease isn't worth it, right?
brands. I've heard HP isn't reliable. How about the cheaper ones like Toshiba, Acer, Lenovo, ASUS, or Sony. (and Dell)

Are Refurbished Laptop Worth It?
In these tough times buying a brand new laptop that costs over $1000 might be out of your reach, but you keep hearing about how you could save some money buying refurbished and want to know if this is true and where to go. Well I'm here to let you know that yes you can save a great deal by shopping at the refurbished section.
How do I do it right...
- Browse the big name sites to get a general idea of what you want inside of your refurbished laptop computer.
- Go to outlet.lenovo.com, outlet.us.dell.com, and overstock.com and start browsing for your specifications. I say those places because they offer good warranties and there track records are better than Craigslist or even eBay.
- Order and wait to enjoy your new refurbished laptop
What do I recommend
I've personally used the Dell Outlet store numerous times and had no problems with the transactions my items were shipped promptly and all came in new condition. Their selection is pretty big so you will have lots of options.
Don't let the word refurbished scare you
The title of refurbished is just a formality in actuality most of the products you will see are either products that were custom ordered and just not paid for or products that got shipped back unopened. Even though you get a year warranty full coverage on your laptop from most refurbished sites. Also if you buy from a place like Dell or Lenovo the computers are fully inspected to meet factory standards before shipping.
