Apple Macbook Laptop?
I would like to buy an apple macbook laptop second hand. I have only £150 max to spend. I have looked on ebay and they are all around £300. this is too much for me. Can anyone recommend a good place to buy a cheap second hand or refurbished laptop? or even better does anyone have one for sale for this price? I am only 17 so i cannot get finance. I think unfortunately your budget is abit too low. There are two things you can do, the first is (unless of course you specifically wanted a laptop) is buy a mac mini from ebay. I had one till i brought my new macbook they are fairly cheap on ebay. Found this one for £90 on ebay (see link below) however you do need to have an existing monitor and keyboard. But if you havent then it will be getting fairly pricey.
Also unless you specifically wanted a mac, you should maybe just consider a normal PC laptop as they are getting very cheap, and you would be able to pick up a good second-hand on on ebay for around the price your looking at.

An Overview of Refurbished Laptops
Refurbished laptops undergo restoration and evaluation processes to make them functional. Typically, the rebuilt computer will cost less than a new computer with the same brand, model and make. They will always carry a limited warranty plan. There are various manufacturing companies who offer rebuilt computer for sale at marked down prices.
Refurbished laptops and products are not an unknown notion. In the past, there were various items refurbished and produced for sale at cheap prices. Typewriters for instance, were refurbished and sold to businesses and writers for a nominal fee. Quality standards are applied during the restoration process, because of that, products are assumed to have a similar life span of new typewriters. That concept is applied today with the refurbishment of computers.
When computers are rebuilt to complete operating competence, they undergo meticulous testing stages. This is good since the main reason for doing so is to comply with standards of quality by manufacturers. Some companies will enhance the original features as a part of the refurbishment process. Enhancement is normally implemented to increase the Ready Access Memory capacity or replace obsolete hardware with more powerful components.
Consumers benefit greatly from refurbished laptops because the restored systems normally sell for less than new laptops. Tight budgeted buyers know have the opportunity to obtain powerful machines and operating systems of their choice. They no longer have to settle for weaker systems and inferior or unfamiliar operating systems. The newly obtained refurbished system will come with protection similar to unopened new systems, except for the jacked up prices. Most refurbished products come with a warranty.
Building computers cost more than refurbishing laptops. Manufacturers hate losing money so they rebuild them to make up for the losses. They can make a profit from rebuilding the components, but at the very least, they can balance or decrease the losses affecting their profitability. Refurbished laptops already have a structure and they can sell them at lower rates.
When consumers come across a company that claims to sell refurbished items, consumers should research what they mean by "refurbished". There have been some dishonesty associated with companies who claim refurbishment but they failed to conduct an accurate assessment and the computers do not meet factory standards. It can be helpful to acquire information on what exactly has been replaced and any new changes. It helps to compare the fixed up computer to a new one.
