How much longer is a Kotex Long Ultra Thin than their regular?
I usually wear Kotex Ultra Thins but they don't always work at night. I want to maybe try the long but I don't want it to be too huge and then have a whole package of them.

Around 2 inches. Over night will give you the best coverage. Do you leak at night and you're trying not too?
If you buy a pack and don't like the extra length donate the pack to someone who is pregnant. She'll use the pads after giving birth. Some stores sell small travel packs with only 4 in a pack. When you're asleep you won't notice the extra length. But in the morning you'll notice no leaks.
